Independent Transaction Analysis

What is a Fairness Opinion?

A fairness opinion is an independent financial opinion evaluating whether the financial terms of a proposed transaction are fair, from a financial point of view, to a specified party or group of stakeholders.

Fairness opinions are commonly used by boards of directors and other decision-makers when evaluating significant corporate transactions. An independent opinion provides additional analysis to support the board’s review and decision-making process.
